Discurso a las juventudes Colombianas es una performance que reflexiona sobre los nacionalismos.
En la presente obra se explora la subjetividad de la memoria histórica provocando una reflexión sobre algunos de los discursos nacionalistas adoptados por los políticos.
En concreto, la performance actualiza el discurso que Adolf Hitler pronunció ante las joventudes nazis en 1934. A la hora de actualizarlo se tradujo el discurso literal al castellano y todas las referencias a Alemania fueron sustituidas por referencias por Colombia.

Speech to the colombian youth is a performance that ponders on nationalisms.
The subjectivity of historical memory is explored in this work, which leads to a reflection about some of the nationalist rhetoric adopted by politicians. Specifically, this performance updates the speech delivered by Adolf Hitler to the young Nazis in 1934. The literal speech was translated into Spanish whilst updated, and all references to Germany were replaced by references to Colombia.
I made the speech at Simon Bolivar Square in front of the Congress of the Republic of Colombia.
